Serge Llorca Lloret

A lover of languages and literature — and of subcultures and synthesizers. With a creative and enthusiastic mind, he currently lives between Berlin and Finestrat (Alicante).

He holds degrees in Catalan Philology from the University of Alicante and in Modern Languages and Literatures (specializing in German and English) from the University of Barcelona. He also holds the official Catalan Proofreader’s Certificate.

With solid experience in literary translation and editing, he has specialized in pop culture, political essays, and creative translations for sectors such as marketing, e-commerce, fashion, lifestyle, and technical texts. He is also proficient in administrative language and professional writing in both Catalan and Spanish.

He has written and conducted research on music genres and cultural trends for various media and in different formats. He also devotes part of his time to Valencian toponymy and colloquial Catalan — especially youth slang. He is a passionate about Brontë’s Wuthering Heights.

Irene Jové Blaya

Holder of a BA in Hispanic Philology and an MA in Comparative Literature and Literary Translation, she is a professional translator and proofreader with solid experience in the language services industry. Passionate about literature, languages, and the humanities, she is fluent in English, German, Catalan, and Spanish and has working knowledge of French and Italian.

She has worked as a computational linguist, editor, and translator, both as a full-time employee and as a freelance professional. Since 2015, she has specialized in literary translation and book editing —particularly in essay, history, philosophy, and mythology— as well as in creative and marketing translation.

After living for several years in Germany, she gained in-depth insight into German language and culture. In her free time, she practices yoga, weaves tapestries, and learns to grow vegetables.
